With growing concern for the environment and greater appreciation for companies that genuinely invest in sustainability, adopting ESG (environmental, social and governance) principles at events has gone from a differentiator to a necessity.

According to Informa’s global data, 62.5% of the waste generated at trade shows comes from exhibitors’ disposable stands. Industry estimates also indicate that around 70% of the materials used at events are not reused, increasing the generation of polluting waste.

Addressing this impact is a shared responsibility. Choosing reused stands not only reinforces companies’ commitment to social responsibility but also helps reduce costs.

The Better Stands program, a global events industry initiative, was created to eliminate waste generation at the group’s events by encouraging exhibitors to adopt sustainable solutions.
